Kuburan Terunyan: The Dead Sleeps With Us

On the shores of Lake Batur, lies a peculiar grave site.
Kuburan Terunyan or ‘Grave Terunyan’ is the final resting place for the Trunyan Community where the dead are not burried or cremated. They are simply left out in the open to decompose naturally but thanks to the Menyan Taru, the smell of the dead is neutralised…
