I was teaching in Joo Chiat today.
The topic was environmental portraitures and I swear to god the sun was out to give me and my students heat stroke while we were looking for subjects. It was then when I came across one of the most interesting barbershops I’ve seen so far.
It’s a rather small shop but you can see the pride the 2 barbers have in their shop as everything was kept neat and tidy with a retro feel. From the newspaper clippings and photographs on the wall to the many images of the Goddess of Mercy and other Chinese Deities, it was just screaming to be photographed.
I made a few images with my G9 and I am definitely going back to photograph that shop again!
