I’ve never really played around with the Hipstamatic app as I never got into the iPhonography movement.
The iPhone is, after all, suppose to ring before it snaps. In which I can actually count the number of non-work-related calls I get these days with one hand…
Hipstamatic 300
I spent a short amount of time with the new and shiny Hipstamatic 300 and am actually enjoying the unpredictability of every shot.
From the greens of the John.S Lens to the saturated Love 81 film, I mostly leave it to randomise each shot and surprise myself.
It is not going to replace my Leica but I guess sometimes, you just need to let your hair down and shoot random unsharp and filtered stuff on the camera that sometimes rings.
If I had to nitpick, it would be that editing in the Hipstamatic 300 takes forever; or perhaps I’m too spoilt by the speed of other apps.
I’ll live.
The app is free for now and it is not a bad camera app to have; so go ahead and download it.
