Baybeats 2013: Preview

Baybeats is back!

Baybeats 2013 is one of the biggest music festival in Singapore and every year, it features both home-grown artist and international ones.

If you are looking for mosh pits; screaming metal fans; good music, check out Baybeats that is happening this year from the 28th to the 30th of June.
The best part? The music is absolutely FREE! Just head down to the Esplanade and there will be music wafting from several venues including the very exciting; headbanging, Power House.

Here is a list of band line ups for the festival:

I was actually really surprised that I was even selected for the Budding Photographers program given that I have never shot a single gig prior to Baybeats.
I pushed my camera and body to the limit given that the 5D’s ISO and focusing is not exactly built for handing low light and it was 3 crazy nights of shooting before the mad editing of images to submit before we could call it a day.

In any case, it seems that Esplanade likes my work enough to give me an exhibition and to call me back to cover the festival again this year.

Don’t forget to pop by level 3 to check out last year’s Budding photographers work while you are attending the festival! You will be able to catch my images from last year:
