Illuminating Blogger Award

Its been a week since I got back from Kathmandu and good lord has it been an eventful and crazy week.
Before I give an update on the madness I went through, I’ll like to thank Gourmand Chic for nominating me for the Illuminating Blogger Award!

More about the award here

Its my first award so its pretty sweet as its kind of like YOU MEAN PEOPLE ACTUALLY READ THIS BLOG?

I have to share one random thing about myself now:
I started singing in choirs since I was 9.

Yes lovely people I sing(:

Anyways before I move on to the more exciting updates on my life such as I got hospitalized for a day, here are the blogs I’ll like to nominate for the award:

1) Kathmandu Inside Out Photography Masterclass  http://kathmanduinsideout.com/

The reason I was in Kathmandu was because I attended this masterclass by Edwin Koo, a dear friend and mentor of mine.
The blog will be filled with showcases and updates from the participants, images from Edwin and information about Kathmandu.
Perhaps it might even pique your interest to join the Masterclass next year! I’ll see you there then(:

2) Pandora Wong

With a blog title as inventive as mine, you know we have a lot in common.

3) Bijay  http://bijay.wordpress.com/

Bijay was my correspondent in Kathmandu and I had so much fun with him.
He is a full time photojournalist for the Republica and loves cycling as much as I do<3

4) Jarvis and Beetle  http://jarvisandbeetle.wordpress.com/

I enjoy reading his post and photography(:

5) Modes of Flight  http://themofman.wordpress.com/

Love his perspective on street photography and he has some great images as well!

Now that that’s done, on to life’s updates.

I’ve been back for over a week now and I got a job! An actual proper one with CPF, actual working hours and a stable monthly pay.
I am working as a Sales Consultant with Leica at the Raffles Hotel branch!
It is going to be a strange transition from the freedom of travelling when I like as a Visual Storyteller to an actual job with only 14 days of annual leave as a Sales Consultant. But if I am to travel from Singapore to London without a single flight within the next 5 years, I guess this is the job that will help me reach my goal. I’ll probably end up with the M system before I turn 21, get a couple of new dolls along the way and hopefully short trips whenever I can!

There are going to be a couple of changes in my life due to the job but one thing is for sure and that is I will keep on shooting. I will still keep my title as a Visual Storyteller just that it will now be a part-time Visual Storyteller.

After all, the story has not ended(:
I’ll blog about the photo essay I did for the Kathmandu Inside Out Photography Masterclass soon!
